Fee-based registration is mandatory and can be booked online. Seats are limited to 40 participants. Fees according to online-registration portal.
Key Objectives
V-V ECMO support management:
1. Indicate V-V ECMO in different clinical scenarios
2. Indicate the adequate V-V cannulation strategy: double lumen vs single lumen
3. Adjust blood and gas flow
4. Titrate MV parameters
5. Identify and manage recirculation
6. Identify and manage drainage insufficiency
7. Wean the patient
V-A ECMO support management:
1. Indicate V-A ECMO and ECPR in different clinical scenarios
2. Indicate the adequate V-A cannulation strategy: seldinger tech vs hybrid
3. Adjust blood and gas flow
4. Titrate drugs during support
5. Indicate left ventricle unloading
6. Identify and solve differential hypoxia
7. Wean the patient
V-V & V-A peripheral cannulation using Seldinger technique
Technical troubleshooting
1. Drainage insufficiency
2. Air embolism, Pump failure
3. Membrane lung failure
4. Gas failure
