In brief: High-fidelity simulation of VV ECMO scenarios
Addressed to: Any professional related to VV ECMO support, including physicians, specialized nurses, perfusionists and other ECMO specialists.
Objectives
– Indicate VV ECMO support
– Initiate VV ECMO support
– Adjust ECMO and VM settings depending on patient’s condition
– Prevent, identify and treat complications
– Wean patients on VV ECMO

Method
– An ECMO simulator will be used for high-fidelity simulation
– Setting: Customized ICU box
– Instructors: ECMO and simulation experts will guide you along the different scenarios
– We use a very low ratio of 8 students / 2 instructors in order to assure personalized learning
